Welcome to Heritage House! This family-run gem brings authentic Sri Lankan flavours to Newport, right on Upper Dock Street, Newport Market. Inspired by the vibrant flavours of the island, they’re passionate about sharing the traditional tastes of Sri Lanka with the community.
Background
Born from a love for Sri Lankan street food and home-cooked classics, Heritage House began as a family mission to introduce Newport to Sri Lanka’s iconic dishes, culture, and hospitality.
What We Do
At Heritage House, they offer an inviting menu featuring curries, appetisers, sides, desserts, and our specialty rice bowls. One highlight is the renowned kotthu, a flavourful blend of roti, spices, and your choice of meat, seafood, or vegetables—all chopped and cooked together for a comforting, hearty meal.
