Tramshed Tech – The Home of Startups in Wales
Tramshed Tech is a collaborative community of entrepreneurs, startups, scaling businesses, corporates, government organisations and educational institutions designed to support tech, digital and creative industries.
We provide a platform for growth across three core areas; spaces, services and skills. We provide beautiful workspaces, business support services and skills programmes to support students to commercialise ideas, startups to scale, scaleups to accelerate growth and large scale organisations to innovate.
Tramshed Tech was founded in 2016 with a mission to create collaborative spaces for business owners to meet, learn and grow. Originally occupying 10,000 sq ft in Grangetown’s historic Tramshed, we now run over 30,000sq ft across Cardiff and new locations opening in Newport, Barry and Swansea.
Starting out as predominantly a coworking space, Tramshed Tech has evolved into so much more than just a space to work. We provide a support and skills training to business owners and entrepreneurs at each and every stage of their growth journey.
90% of startups fail, scaling business struggle to accelerate growth and larger businesses struggle to innovate. Tramshed Tech is designed to increase the success rate of startups, accelerate the growth of scaling ventures and promote innovation within enterprise businesses and governing bodies.
Our award-winning Startup Academy is a 12-week programme designed to support early stage startups and entrepreneurs with a great business idea. The final week sees the cohort pitch to a board of investors with a chance to secure capital for their next phase of business growth. As well as startup support, we have a range of strategic partners across the UK and Europe to include Google for Startups, Microsoft, Geovation and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (SQY) which means our members gain access to specialist accelerator programmes and mentorship from the best in business.
