About

About

We are a small family run business, with a working farm, two farm shops, a milk vending machine, a 24 year old converted horsebook and aswell as this new butchery adventure.

The business is run and looked after day to day by a group of close family and friends – Sian & Kevin Rickard, Jen & Ryan Bradford, Sue & Martin Webber, Ben Webber & Abbey Ferris, Jacqui & Ian Long, Brydon Richardson, Lucy Curtis and Diane Daniel.

Our children are also very involved – Archie & Maya Rickard, Theo & Lewi Bradford and Jessica Webber.

Background

We first established Castle Farm Community Hub in March 2020 during the COVID19 pandemic to help people in our local community and became Castle Farm Shop in September 2020. Our 24 year old horsebox first went out on the road in July 2021 to local markets and the opening of our Kingsway, Newport shop took place in October 2021.

From the very start we just grew and grew and have introduced so much into our shops in the time that we have been running.

We always eat our own meat on the farm so that was always going to be a produce we took pride in putting into our shop along with our very own eggs.
