Who We Are
Mourning Star Collective is more than just a tattoo studio — it’s an inclusive, welcoming space where creativity, community, and care come together. We’re proud to offer a safe and friendly environment for everyone, with a particular commitment to supporting our LGBTQ+ clients. Using only 100% vegan products, we ensure that every tattoo is created with both ethics and quality in mind. In addition to tattooing, we stock original artwork, merchandise designed by our artists, handmade jewellery, and professional-grade aftercare products used in every session.
Our Background
Mourning Star began as a side project — selling original merchandise to support Kimi’s growing tattooing career. Driven by a passion for her craft and a vision for something more personal, she opened Mourning Star Tattoo in 2023. The collective quickly grew, welcoming industry friends Russ and Mark — artists with whom Kimi had worked alongside for years. Together, they’ve created a studio known not only for its skill and artistry, but also for its warmth, collaboration, and broad range of styles.
What We Do
At Mourning Star Collective, we offer fully custom tattoos tailored to each client, from fine-line pieces to bold, complex designs. Whether you’re after your first tattoo or a full sleeve, a cover-up or something symbolic and subtle, you’re in safe hands. We also offer carefully curated aftercare products, as well as a unique selection of artist-made merch, jewellery, and prints available directly from the studio.
